Mrs. Shirley Marie Ledbetter, of Waco, Georgia, passed away on September 29, 2018. She was 75. Mrs. Ledbetter was born on February 17, 1943 in Tallapoosa, Georgia to the late Raymond and Viola Hammond Smith. She was retired from Lamar Manufacturing where she worked as a seamstress. She was known for her excellent cross stitching that she crafted and shared with people. She loved giving. She enjoyed traveling and taking many trips to the “Great Smoky Mountains” of Tennessee and she made many friends while she was there. She was also an avid Georgia fan. She loved everyone greatly, especially her family, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Ledbetter; her daughter, Lisa Viola Ledbetter; her son, Hoyt Charles Ledbetter, and her brothers, Alvin Smith, James Smith, and David “Claude” Smith. Survivors include her children, Angel Marie Ledbetter Holmes (Steve),and Scarlotte Vanessa Ledbetter Noles (Chris); and Chris Ledbetter (Angie), who was like a son to her; her grandchildren, Kayla Goudy, Josh Noles, Anna Holmes, and Jessica Holmes; and her great-grandchildren, Joe Holmes, Kyan Goudy, and Bo Goudy. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Kansas Baptist Church. Rev. Randall Eidson and Rev. Ricky Rayburn will officiate. Interment will follow at Ranburne City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Rainwater Funeral Home.
