Mr. John Grizzard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. John Edward Grizzard, of Ranburne, Alabama, passed away on June 20, 2022. He was 81. Mr. Grizzard was born on May 2, 1941 in Bowdon, Georgia to the late Amon and Beth Grizzard. He was retired from Trent Tube where he worked as a millwright for over 30 years. After retiring, he enjoyed faming, raising cows, running his beagles, and spending time with this grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, J.L. Grizzard, Neal Grizzard, Martha McIntosh, and Gene Grizzard; and his son-in-law, James Vise. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Becky Grizzard; his children and their spouses, Jay and Krystal Grizzard, Matt Grizzard, Lisa and Mike Smiley, and Amy and Paul Wiggins; his grandchildren and their spouses, Tara and Jake Kovac, Tracy and Andrew Stewart, Brittany and Andy Pickle, Amos and Ally Grizzard, Austin Grizzard, Christina Wiggins, Brock Wiggins, Valerie Vise, Haley Smiley, Anna Grizzard, Will Smiley, Jett and Ashley Vise, Lance Smiley, and Sam Grizzard; his great-grandchildren, Bryson Pickle, Carson Pickle, Rhett Grizzard, Caleb Langston, Corbin Wiggins, Corey Klock, and Cayson Wiggins; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Reba and Runt Entrekin, Mack and Linda Grizzard, Tony and Opal Grizzard, and Terry and Susan Grizzard; his sister-in-law, Shirley Grizzard, and a niece that he raised as his own, Dottie Cavender and her husband, Russell. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowdon First Methodist Church. Bro. Randy Simpkins will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kale Grizzard, Russell Grizzard, Tyler Grizzard, Neal Grizzard, Jeff Entrekin, and Jayden Thompson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
