Mr. James Cecil Haynes, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on May 28, 2017. He was 72. Mr. Haynes was born on December 18, 1944 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Sidney and Mildred Smith Haynes. He worked for General Motors and also owned and operated Chambers Wrecker Service in Newnan. He was a member and Deacon at Soaring Eagle Ministries Full Gospel Church. He was ordained on January 25, 2015. He always had a vision of starting a small church to continue to spread the Gospel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria Jean Haynes and Mary Ann Hayes; and a great-grandson, Wyatt Lane Morgan, all of Newnan. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Eva Berry Haynes; his sons, James W. “Jay” Haynes and Michael Allen Payton, of Carrollton, Georgia; his daughters, Debra (Jimmy) Smith and Michelle Lunsford, of Newnan, Georgia; his son-in-law, Barry Lunsford of Corinth; his grandchildren, Ward Morgan, Ryan Morgan, Tyler Chatham, Faith Chatham, Michael Payton, and Katie Richardson; and his great-grandchildren, Brycin, Addycin, Whitley, and Doc Morgan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home. Bro. Marvin Purgason, Bro. Dewey Digsby, and Bro. J.W. Daniel will officiate. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m.
