Frank Meigs Mr. Frank Brock Meigs, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on June 12, 2020. He was 91. Frank was born on September 11, 1928 in Wylam, Alabama to James and Maude Mae Brock Meigs. He graduated from high school in 1948 and served in the US Army from 1953-1956. He was a retired corrections officer from Carroll County, Georgia . He was a member of Bowdon First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Johnson Causey Sunday School class. Frank enjoyed working for the church fundraisers and he was always an avid UGA football fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cheryl Meigs, his brothers and sisters in law Glenn and Myrle Meigs and Alfred and Jackie Ward and Louise and Hulet Prince. Mr. Meigs is survived by his wife, Shirleen Ward Meigs, his son and daughter in law, Frankie and Kathy Meigs, his granddaughter and her husband, Abbey and Chad Pearson; his great grandchildren, Miles, Evan and Bennett Pearson, as well as his brother and sister in law, Donald and Louise Meigs and sister in law Faye Ward and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bowdon First United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be conducted by Bro. Randy Simpkins and Bro. Neil Awbrey. Music will be provided by the Prince Family. Interment will follow in the Bowdon First United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to Bowdon First United Methodist Church.
