Mrs. Evelyn Johnson

August 12, 1928 - March 28, 2022

Mrs. Evelyn Holloway Johnson, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on March 28, 2022. She was 93. Mrs. Johnson was born on August 12, 1928 in Carrollton, Georgia to the late William Rufus and Pearlie Mae Holloway. She was a seamstress and retired from Sewell’s Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Johnson; her granddaughters, Kori Johnson and Traci Garrett; her sisters, Myrl Butler, Christine Word, and Nellie Fargarson; and her brothers, Dennis Holloway and Gerald Holloway. Survivors include her sons, Barrett (Nancy) Johnson and Randy Johnson; her daughter, Debbie Garrett; her grandchildren, Clayton Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Chan Johnson, Courtney (Grant) Reed, and Jessie (Nathan) Denney; and greatgrandchildren, Skylar, Drew, and Hailey Johnson, Tripp and Charlie Reed, and Tracie Denney. In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Johnson’s body was cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church. Bro. Gary Stewart will officiate.
