Mr. Billy Parks

Mr. Billy Parks, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on August 28, 2017. He was 80. Mr. Parks was born on April 3, 1937 in Winston, Georgia to the late William Glen and Josie Mae Parks. He was retired from Southwire where he was a shift supervisor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Joann Parks; his brother, J.W. Parks; and his sister, Dortha Thompson. Survivors include his wife, Altonna “Tunie” Parks; his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Randy Mitchell; his sister, Elizabeth Driver; his grandchildren and their spouses, Randall and Nicole Mitchell, and Amanda and Alex Warren; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, Tucker, and Mary Kate Mitchell and Alexis Warren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home. Bro. James Williams and Bro. Mark Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Beulah Baptist Church in Carrollton. Prior to the services, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.
