Ms. Patricia Buchanan Howard

Ms. Patrica E Buchanan Howard of Whitesburg Ga, formally of Fairfield Plantation in Villa Rica passed away peacefully at Tanner Hospital in Carrollton, Ga. Her family would like to thank and acknowledge the very caring nursing staff for the loving respect she received at Tanner while fighting long term progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis. She had a great desire and will to live and handled her illness with grace until the very end. Ms. Howard was 80 years old, born in Bowdon, Ga on April 13, 1946. Her parents were Dillard and Evelyn Buchanan of of Bowdon. Her survivors include her two loving, amazing sisters, Sharon Noles and husband Dwayne of Bowdon, GA, and Shelia Young and husband Ronnie of Oxford, AL. Ms. Howard's children are Jill Howard (Scott) of Whitesburg, Inga Fuller (Lee) of Whitesburg and Brandon Howard of Villa Rica. Her grandchildren are Charlie and Mitch Howard of Carrollton, Nathan Fuller (Karen) of Texas, Emily Fuller of Atlanta, Joseph Fuller (Irene) stationed in Japan, and Ava and Georgia Howard of Villa Rica. She has 4 great grandchildren and one on the way. Yamilet, Aitana, and Felina Fuller of Texas and Andrew Creed Everett King of Carrollton and his soon to be born sibling. Pat had a long career as a personal secretary/office manager working at various businesses including Southwire, The Federal Land Bank, and Contel phone company in Illinois before coming back home to GA and working at Fairfield Properties. She had a gift of creative thinking and inciteful ideas with the faith to follow it through. She designed and sold jewelry and made beautiful flower arrangements. She spent countless hours creating treasured scrapbooks for her daughters. She was the first to turn Fairfield Marina into a thriving hotspot where she was famous for her delicious marinated steaks and grilled fair, outlandish fun and laughter, and karaoke and dance by the waterside. For many years after leaving her job at Fairfield Plantation, she started a very needed child care business where she lovingly treated the children as if they were her own. She gave them funfilled days with many activies and adventure. She took them to the beach every day of the summer and taught many of them to swim at a very young age before most would even dare to. She had an amazing way of motivating and communicating with all her children making them feel like family and did it all while taking care of her own grandfather, Papa Tucker. She mastered cooking and almost never had an empty table as so many would drop in randomly just to sit and chat with her and get a plate of their favorite food. After years of entrepreneurship she moved out of retirement back into business at the sweet encouragement of her former boss BJ Mosser and became a successsful Real Estate Agent. Pat was a lover of life and laughter. She had the gift of making others laugh or smile even in difficult times. She loved singing karaoke, singing for the elderly at the nursing home and playing cards and games with her beloved Red Hat ladies. She loved dressing in beautiful clothes and all the accessories, especially when she could add a little bling. She enjoyed eating and sharing meals with friends and family. Her beauty, smile and laughter could light up any room when she walked in. More than anything, she loved her family and friends. She loved deeply and that love will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her and being a part of her life! Her celebration of life will be announced at later date.
